Electrical Engineering Specialist – Onshore Oil & Gas Projects
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Specialist to provide technical support and advisory services during the EPC and start-up phases of onshore oil and gas projects. The role will ensure project deliverables meet operations expectations in terms of safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability over the facility’s design life cycle.
Key Responsibilities

Provide a range of electrical engineering support including design reviews, commissioning, start-up, failure analysis, and advanced troubleshooting.

Develop and implement surveillance and administration programs for critical electrical systems to ensure reliability, availability, and cybersecurity.

Define and document best practices within the area of expertise and recommend performance improvement initiatives.

Develop plans and work schedules to ensure effective completion of tasks, meeting section and division KPIs.

Provide technical input to other disciplines and functions to support overall business objectives.

Control and supervise electrical engineering activities performed by contractors, consultants, and service providers.

Mentor less experienced engineers in implementing integrity and reliability systems.

Support smooth completion of project tie-ins for systems under responsibility.

Maintain an issue register to identify and resolve critical issues, including new technology risks that could impact project reliability, availability, or cybersecurity.

Support high-risk commissioning activities on large-scale projects through system surveillance, tuning, optimization, and advisory support to operations and maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Minimum 8 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector, with specialist-level competencies in electrical engineering.
Technical and Business Skills

Ability to make decisions and work effectively under high-pressure conditions.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in professional office and technical applications, including standard engineering software.
Work Details

Location: Onshore, Qatar

Work Schedule: 8–10 hours/day, Sunday–Thursday; 12 weeks on / 2 weeks off (single status), or 30 days annual leave (couple status)

Contract: 1-year initial, with possibility of extension
