Senior HV Electrical Engineer – Denmark (Remote/On-Site)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specialising in High Voltage (HV) cable systems to join our expanding technical team. The role focuses on testing, maintenance, and fault diagnostics of HV infrastructure within a safety-first, forward-thinking environment. This is a hands-on position offering the chance to contribute to critical energy and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities

Perform testing and diagnostic procedures on HV cables and associated equipment

Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on HV systems

Conduct cable fault location and condition assessments

Prepare and review technical reports and test documentation

Ensure all activities comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations

Support commissioning and decommissioning of HV systems

Coordinate with site teams and project engineers to ensure safe and effective execution
Required Experience & Skills

Proven experience in HV cable testing and maintenance

Hands-on experience with HV test equipment such as VLF, Tan Delta, and Partial Discharge (PD) testing

Strong understanding of HV safety procedures, permit systems, and risk management

Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical drawings and schematics

Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent certification

Strong problem-solving skills and clear technical reporting abilities

Willingness to work on-site and travel to project locations as required

Fluent in Danish (C1) and excellent communication skills

Valid Danish driving licence
