Senior HV Electrical Engineer (Remote EU)
Location: Remote within the EU (with site travel as required)

Overview
We are recruiting multiple High Voltage Electrical Engineers to support critical power infrastructure projects across Europe. This role offers the opportunity to work within a safety-driven environment, delivering specialist testing, diagnostics, and maintenance on HV cable systems for major energy and utilities programmes.
This position is ideal for engineers who combine strong technical expertise with a proactive, detail-oriented approach and a commitment to high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Perform testing and diagnostic activities on high voltage cables and associated equipment

Carry out planned preventative and corrective maintenance on HV systems

Conduct cable fault location and condition assessments

Prepare technical reports, test records, and documentation

Ensure all activities comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations

Support commissioning and decommissioning of HV assets

Work closely with site teams, project engineers, and operations personnel

Follow permit-to-work systems and HV safety procedures at all times
Requirements

Proven experience in high voltage cable testing and maintenance

Hands-on experience with HV test equipment such as VLF, Tan Delta, and Partial Discharge testing

Strong understanding of HV safety practices and permit systems

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation

Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or a recognised electrical discipline

Strong fault-finding, analytical, and reporting skills

Willingness to travel and work on-site when required

German language proficiency at C1 level or above

Valid German driving licence
