About the Opportunity:
Our client is delivering a major industrial project focused on sustainable steel production using green hydrogen. The facility under construction in Northern Sweden is expected to reduce carbon emissions by up to 95% compared to traditional methods. This role supports the hydrogen plant (HMP) scope and sits within the Owner’s Engineering team.
Role Summary:
The Electrical Engineer will assist the Electrical Lead and take an active role in reviewing and verifying electrical engineering deliverables and activities. This includes coordinating with EPCM and OEM engineering teams to ensure design compliance, safety, and performance in line with project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Support electrical engineering and design efforts for the Hydrogen Plant (HMP) area

Ensure compliance with international and regional codes, standards, and process safety requirements

Coordinate with EPCM and OEM teams, providing engineering feedback and clarifications

Review and comment on engineering deliverables, including power systems, switchgear, transformers, cabling, UPS, and more

Assist in documentation management and quality control, ideally using platforms such as ACC or Omega

Liaise with internal engineering teams and other disciplines to resolve interface issues

Support ongoing performance and quality improvement in the delivery of electrical engineering scope
Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical engineering on large capital projects

Previous work in steel, power generation, hydrogen, or oil and gas sectors preferred

Familiarity with electrical system design and compliance with European and Scandinavian standards

Experience with power system studies: load flow, short circuit, harmonic analysis, protection coordination, and equipment sizing

Proven ability to review electrical engineering deliverables from EPCM/OEM contractors

Skilled in working with engineering documentation and change control

Strong interpersonal and coordination skills across multi-disciplinary teams

Fluent in English; other languages are a bonus
