Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Overhead Lines (Permanent Role)
Location: Remote - Germany (with travel across EU and UK)

Key Responsibilities

Conduct technical investigations and studies across various disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, metallurgical, chemical, and non-destructive evaluation.

Perform field testing and inspections on overhead phase conductors, structures, and accessory hardware.

Ensure strict compliance with health and safety protocols; lead and participate in pre-job safety meetings and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).

Act as a technical resource on diverse projects, balancing scope, quality, time, and cost objectives.

Support multiple projects simultaneously, contributing to scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.

Assist in preparing high-quality technical reports and work procedures, offering actionable recommendations.

Contribute to ongoing service development, including potential technology integration and testing in new markets.

Calibrate, troubleshoot, service, and supervise the repair or installation of equipment and processes.

Identify process improvements, assist with procedure development, and maintain internal documentation.

Maintain strong customer relationships, addressing enquiries and supporting business growth.
Requirements

Diploma or undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology (or equivalent qualification).

Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.

Organised and customer-focused, capable of meeting tight project deadlines.

Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges across disciplines.

Practical experience with hand and power tools.

Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical theory and relevant testing standards.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Flexible and willing to travel extensively across the EU and UK as required.

Valid driver’s licence.

Familiarity with QA programmes (e.g. ISO 9001).

Self-motivated, capable of working independently or within a team.

Strong time management, multi-tasking ability, and effective communication regarding priorities.

Experience with continuous improvement practices is advantageous.
