E&I Maintenance Technician

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-time, rotating shifts with overtime & on-call)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Technician to join a forward-thinking industrial team in Hertfordshire. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation assets
- Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new systems
- Diagnose and resolve faults on pneumatics, PLCs (Allen Bradley), and variable speed drives
- Ensure compliance with site safety standards and operational requirements
- Work a rotating shift pattern with opportunities for overtime and on-call support
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent trade certification)
- Strong electrical background within heavy industry (energy, utilities, or process plants)
- Proven experience in troubleshooting, PPM, and complex installations
- Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, and drives
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently in a safety-critical environment
Desirable:
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs
- Previous maintenance experience in large-scale industrial facilities
