Assignment Description
An exciting opportunity has opened for a skilled Data Specialist (Competence Level 3) to join a national grid operator during a pivotal phase of digital transformation. As the organisation shifts towards a data-driven future, the Data Office is looking for an experienced consultant to help establish best practices and frameworks that will empower the business.
You will be instrumental in shaping data and information governance, enhancing metadata and master data management, implementing a data catalogue, and supporting the digitalisation and automation of data-related processes across the business. You'll collaborate closely with the Data Governance Lead and work cross-functionally with information architects, data stewards, platform teams, and business domains to drive measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the business in clarifying data lineage and documenting decisions regarding master data and sources
- Establish and improve metadata management practices, including processes, ownership, and standards
- Lead pre-studies, requirements gathering, and implementation of a data catalogue and/or other relevant tools
- Contribute to frameworks and guidelines for data products, supporting pilot implementations as needed
- Provide input to the data strategy with current-state analysis, identification of needs, and the development of a concrete roadmap towards being a data-driven organisation
- Take ownership of quarterly objectives for the Data Office, driving plans and progress through workshops and cross-functional activities
- Collaborate with information architects, data stewards, platform and analytics teams
- Drive automation and digitalisation in data management to reduce manual workloads, strengthen data quality, and enable data-driven decision-making
Requirements
- Expertise in Data Governance
- Experience in Master Data Management and leading change initiatives
- Strong background in data and information management
- Knowledge of DAMA framework
- Proficiency in change management and leading cross-functional initiatives
- Solid technical understanding to bridge business and technical requirements
- Ability to coordinate stakeholders and lead workshops in complex organisational environments
- Language skills: Swedish (proficient), English (required)
Work Schedule & Location
- Office-based in Sundbyberg, Sweden.
- Remote work permitted up to 40% depending on business needs and agreement.
