Job Title: Digital Tech Lead
Location: Doha, Qatar (Resident Role – 5 days on / 2 days off)
Contract Type: Short-term Secondment (Start: 1 Sep 2025 | End: 31 Dec 2025)

You will take ownership of designing and developing scalable, secure, and efficient digital solutions that deliver tangible value to internal stakeholders. With a strong technical foundation and leadership mindset, you’ll mentor development teams, guide architecture, and enable agile delivery of impactful digital services.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor software developers, providing hands-on technical guidance.

Define and communicate technical strategy, vision, and architecture across multiple projects.

Design robust software systems ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

Coordinate input from specialists in data, security, cloud, and networks to ensure cohesion.

Manage full software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define priorities and requirements.

Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and performance issues.

Review code and project artefacts to ensure quality and compliance with best practices.

Promote continuous improvement through research, evaluation, and integration of new tools and technologies.

Apply agile practices and facilitate team collaboration and productivity.

Act as a motivator and enabler, supporting the team in overcoming delivery challenges.
Role Context:
This position supports a number of simultaneous digital initiatives in a technically demanding environment. You’ll be based in Doha, Qatar, embedded in an experienced team working to support long-term operational goals through digital innovation.
What You’ll Bring:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in roles such as Tech Lead, Full-Stack Developer, Backend Developer, or DevOps Engineer.

MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Systems Management.

Azure Certifications are required.

Strong experience in:

Azure PaaS
-
Angular, React, Django
-
Kubernetes, GitHub, Python

CI/CD DevOps, Docker, Ansible, Terraform

Familiarity with industry data platforms (e.g., OSDU or similar) is a bonus.

Previous experience in the energy or oil & gas sector is an advantage.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive and problem-solving approach.

Fluent in English.
