Key Responsibilities:
Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Ownership:
- Lead the technical roadmap for hybrid cloud infrastructure, advancing a cloud-first vision with a focus on automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Drive efficient, high-performance resource provisioning and maintain strong reliability and security standards.
Technical Collaboration:
- Work closely with Data & Analytics, Network Services, and digital product teams to seamlessly integrate cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Facilitate automation workflows and pipelines using source control and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Enterprise.
- Engage and collaborate across technical communities within the organization.
Mentorship & Enablement:
- Provide informal mentorship, empowering engineers with best practices for cloud automation, IaC, and DevOps.
- Act as a technical thought leader and advocate for ongoing cloud innovation.
Cost and Vendor Optimization:
- Evaluate vendors and technology choices to optimize performance and manage costs effectively.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Cloud Platforms: Deep knowledge of Azure, including Functions, VMs, networking, storage, AKS, and automation.
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipeline creation and integration, particularly GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Monitoring & Observability: Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Azure Monitor, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Product Ownership: Strong backlog management, stakeholder engagement, prioritization, and roadmap definition capabilities.
Experience:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering, with extensive background in deploying IaC solutions in Azure.
- Demonstrated ability to align cloud strategies with business objectives.
- Successful track record delivering large-scale platform automation projects.
- Experience designing and implementing observability frameworks.
- Worked collaboratively with cross-functional teams (development, operations, business, security).
