Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)


About the Role

Join a dynamic team within the Platform_ART to develop, operate, and standardize Kubernetes and cloud services critical for optimizing data transformation, automation, and infrastructure management. In this role, you will work alongside data engineers, developers, security architects, and integration teams to enhance cloud-native adoption and improve operational excellence across Agile Release Trains (ARTs). You will design and implement scalable Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments (Azure and AWS) while supporting continuous integration and deployment processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Kubernetes Cluster Management: Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient Kubernetes clusters in Azure and AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

  • Infrastructure Automation: Enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to enable self-service provisioning, automation, and improved operational efficiency.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a Kubernetes and IaC expert, providing technical guidance and best practices to feature teams, fostering a culture of DevSecOps.

  • CI/CD Optimization: Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to optimize deployment pipelines and improve release management.

  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with architects, security teams, and platform engineers to align infrastructure configurations with organizational standards, compliance mandates, and operational excellence initiatives.


Requirements

  • Team-Oriented with Strong Technical Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders to drive technology transformation.

  • Kubernetes Experience: Previous experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments (AKS, EKS, ECS).

  • Infrastructure Automation: Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or similar automation tools.

  • CI/CD Tools: Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, JFrog, or other CI/CD tools to enhance automation processes.

  • Scripting Skills: Proficiency with at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Networking and Security: Basic understanding of network protocols, routing, network security, application security, security protocols, cryptography, DNS, and related areas.
