Position Title: CPY Representative – WAG Manifolds
Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (Residential)
Start Date: 1 November 2025
Contract Duration: 1 year (renewable up to early 2028)
Status: Residential, long-term assignment


Position Overview

The CPY REP for WAG Manifolds will be the on-site representative for Company (CPY) at the Contractor’s facility in Rio de Janeiro. The role ensures that all Water Alternating Gas (WAG) Manifolds and Foundations are fabricated and delivered on schedule, in accordance with Company HSE standards, technical requirements, and quality specifications.

This is a strategic and hands-on position combining oversight of health, safety, quality, planning, logistics, and technical compliance across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

HSE Oversight

  • Ensure full compliance with Company and site HSE requirements.

  • Lead by example in applying the HSE culture, Stop Work Authority, and hazard identification.

  • Monitor Contractor and Subcontractor HSE performance and implementation.

  • Participate in Toolbox Talks, Job Risk Assessments, and management of change activities.

Technical and Quality Supervision

  • Supervise the fabrication and testing of WAG Manifolds and Foundations according to project specifications.

  • Witness and verify control operations including NDE/NDT, dimensional checks, cleanliness inspections, and pressure tests.

  • Ensure readiness for each activity: valid procedures, calibrated tools, trained personnel, and area safety.

  • Monitor and control work execution steps, sign-off on quality documentation, and report any deviations or non-conformities.

  • Drive timely resolution and closure of non-conformities to avoid schedule delays.

  • Approve Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs) and dispatch documentation.

Welding & Testing Programs

  • Monitor the implementation and progress of Welding Qualification Programs.

  • Assess and follow up on testing programs, ensuring proper tooling and procedures are in place and compliant.

  • Support interface alignment across disciplines to prevent delivery or fabrication delays.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Ensure traceability and record-keeping throughout the control process.

  • Compile and issue weekly reports covering HSE, progress, and quality observations.

  • Contribute to project audits and drive resolution of findings.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or equivalent professional experience.

  • Experience:

    • 20+ years of industry experience, with at least 15 years in similar project roles.

    • Significant exposure to WAG Manifolds, Subsea Structures, Testing Programs, and manufacturing processes.

    • Strong background in NDT/NDE, factory acceptance testing, and fabrication controls.

  • Certifications: QC certifications and/or welding inspection credentials are an asset.

  • Languages: Fluent in English; Spanish or French is a plus.

  • Skills:

    • Deep understanding of Quality and HSE management in complex EPC environments.

    • Strong reporting, communication, and coordination skills.

    • Proficient in interpreting and enforcing technical specifications and contractual obligations.
