Job Title: Country Finance Director

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Country Finance Director to lead the financial strategies that support the country's strategic and operational objectives. The role will manage day-to-day financial activities, ensure compliance with accounting principles, and direct budgeting, grants, contract management, audit, and tax reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of financial strategies and contribute to group strategy, providing financial analysis and guidance on business activities, plans, and targets.
  • Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and transparent risk assessments on investments, analyzing and classifying risks to evaluate potential impacts.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Finance team, including payroll, VAT, cash flow, accounts payable, and receivable.
  • Establish and maintain an appropriate internal control framework to safeguard the business and ensure compliance with statutory and related accounting and tax regulations.
  • Lead annual budgeting and planning processes, reviewing financial plans, and keeping senior leadership informed on the company's financial status.
  • Implement and optimize contract management, ensuring timely billing, collection, and financial data to support operations.
  • Manage relationships with external parties, including customers, advisors, and external funders.
  • Report group financial performance to senior management and the Board of Directors, including financial projections and special projects.
  • Oversee financial systems and reporting to ensure compliance and accurate financial transactions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, leveraging digital tools and technologies to increase efficiency.

     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 20 years of working experience, with at least 15 years in a management or leadership position.
  • 5 years of GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) experience is a plus.
  • Expertise in financial management, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills with experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Experience in managing ERP systems (preferably SAP) and financial control processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
