Work Schedule: 8–10 hours/day, 6 days/week, 26 days/month
Leave Rotation: Single status – 12 weeks on / 2 weeks off; Married status – residential

Job Overview
A leading energy organisation is seeking a Contracts Lead to provide specialist knowledge and guidance in developing, supporting, and executing complex EPC contracts. The role ensures contractual compliance, risk mitigation, and smooth project delivery while providing commercial and technical expertise.

The successful candidate will manage tendering, contract review, administration, and close-out activities, while coordinating with project teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare tender packages and coordinate tendering processes with project teams and supply functions

  • Conduct engineering, technical, and commercial reviews of scope of work documents to evaluate and mitigate project risks

  • Review technical bids for complex and high-value services to establish suitable contracts for project execution

  • Ensure contracting processes incorporate the latest financial, technical, and safety standards

  • Examine scope of work and commercial documentation for accuracy and compliance with company and local standards

  • Participate in contract audits, review records, and address any findings for compliance

  • Oversee EPC contractor activities, ensuring all parties understand contract terms, conditions, objectives, and coordination procedures

  • Lead preparation of contractual responses to EPC contractors and resolve warranty, payment, and milestone issues

  • Facilitate contract close-out, ensuring obligations are met, invoices settled, and deliverables approved

  • Ensure timely management of claims correspondence to prevent potential disputes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Commercial, Marketing, Sciences, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Law, Communication, Technologies, Mathematics, or Statistics

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a business-related function, including at least 4 years in Oil & Gas industry contracts

  • Experience in supervisory roles or oversight of contractor/subcontractor/vendor personnel

  • Experience handling reimbursable procurement for major EPC contracts is preferred

  • Strong analytical, reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities

  • Proficiency in reviewing and preparing technical contracts

  • Computer literacy including MS Office and business software applications

  • Excellent written and spoken English
