Contracts Lead – Dredging
Location: Qatar
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Lead to manage pre-award and post-award contracts for a large-scale dredging project. The role will oversee contract negotiation, administration, and performance management while ensuring compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and project objectives. This is a secondment position via an agency.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement contract strategies aligned with project objectives and commercial best practices.

Lead contract negotiations with contractors to secure optimal commercial and risk positions.

Administer contracts in compliance with terms and conditions, ensuring timely resolution of claims, variations, and disputes.

Evaluate contractor performance against contractual obligations to drive accountability and continuous improvement.

Prepare and issue contractual correspondence, review invoices, and validate payments in line with contract terms.

Advise project teams on contract interpretation, risk mitigation, and informed decision-making.

Draft contractual documents, change order analysis, and valuations according to contractual requirements.

Collaborate with legal and finance teams to resolve complex contractual and liability issues.

Maintain accurate contract records and documentation in line with company procedures and audit requirements.

Contribute to the development of contract management policies, templates, and functional best practices.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Sciences, Law, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in business-related functions such as contract management, including at least 4 years in the oil & gas or related heavy industrial sector.

At least 1 year in a supervisory or acting role.

Significant experience with EPC contractors and subcontractors on major projects, including contract administration, claims management, and performance oversight.

Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams in complex, high-value environments.
Technical and Business Skills

In-depth knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and claims/dispute resolution.

Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Ability to interpret engineering and technical documentation.
Work Details

Work Schedule: 10 hours/day, 5 days/week, 22 days/month.

Location: Onshore, Qatar.

Contract Term: 36 months (Q1 2026 – 2029).
