Job Title: Contracts Lead

Contract Type: 36-month contract

Overview
We are supporting a leading international energy operator in the search for an experienced Contracts Lead to play a key role on a major capital project. This position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale EPC developments, managing complex post-award contract activities and contributing to successful project delivery.

You will be at the centre of commercial and contractual decision-making, ensuring value protection, risk mitigation, and alignment with project objectives across a high-value, fast-paced environment.

The Role
You will take ownership of post-award contract management activities, including:

  • Managing all commercial and contractual aspects of major EPC contracts
  • Supporting delivery of value protection strategies and managing contract changes
  • Identifying contractual risks and advising on mitigation strategies
  • Preparing and contributing to commercial and contract performance reporting
  • Supporting the management of claims and disputes in collaboration with project teams
  • Maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders, including legal, risk, and delivery teams
  • Coordinating contract close-out activities and performance evaluations
  • Ensuring contract administration aligns with industry best practice and governance standards
  • Participating in negotiations with contractors and external partners
  • Operating effectively within a high-value, schedule-driven project environment

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial, contracts, or project-related roles
  • Proven experience working on major EPC or energy infrastructure projects (post-award phase)
  • Hands-on experience managing contractors, including change orders, variations, and contractual correspondence
  • Experience in claims management and dispute resolution is advantageous
  • Strong commercial awareness and risk management capability
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple interfaces across large project teams
