Contract Officer

Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive Contract Officer to join the Legal & Technical Contracts function within a broader Legal, Contracts, and Compliance team, based in Zagreb. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing renewable energy portfolio while developing professionally within a large, international organisation.
The Contract Officer will support the administration, execution, and monitoring of contracts and project documentation across the project portfolio, including document management for affiliated entities.
Key Responsibilities

Build a solid understanding of contractual commercial terms and support communication of these terms to project stakeholders

Support the drafting, review, negotiation, and completion of construction, commercial, and real estate agreements

Track, report, and coordinate legal, permitting, construction, and administrative matters arising during due diligence of new project opportunities

Assist with preparation of agreements, amendments, and variations, including signature coordination, execution, archiving, and compliance monitoring

Coordinate internally with legal and project teams on approvals and execution of contracts and corporate documentation (e.g., powers of attorney, board resolutions)

Maintain accurate contract and corporate records, including signature tracking and document registers

Create, update, and maintain templates, registers, checklists, and internal communication tools

Support continuous improvement and streamlining of internal contract administration processes

Participate in periodic project coordination and progress meetings

Liaise with notaries, signatories, and administrative contacts across multiple jurisdictions to complete notarisation, apostille, signature, and courier processes

Assist with preparation and handling of internal and external correspondence related to contractual and corporate matters
Candidate Profile
-
At least 3 years’ experience in contract administration or legal support roles, ideally within renewables, construction, engineering, or energy-related industries

Highly organised with strong focus on accuracy, document control, and process follow-up

Experience managing contracts and supporting project teams through contract lifecycles

Proactive approach to identifying contractual or administrative issues

Strong attention to detail and document management capability

Exposure to contract discussions or negotiations is beneficial

Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Sound judgement with analytical and problem-solving abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Office 365 and SharePoint
