Kintec are currently partnered with a multinational consultancy delivering consulting, engineering, and architecture services globally. The successful candidate will support a major Green Steel development project currently under construction in Northern Sweden.
JOB BRIEF
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Manager to join the project team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and legal aspects of contracts between the client and its suppliers, lenders, investors, and partners.
You will work closely with the client and cross-functional teams to address contractual matters including performance, compliance, rights and obligations, risk identification, and mitigation. The ideal candidate will bring experience in engineering, business administration, or commercial law, along with the ability to operate effectively within multicultural teams and high-pressure project environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Contract Manager and Project Managers in the planning, integration, coordination, and control of PMC contract-related activities for assigned Construction Areas, Contracts, Units, or processes

Ensure compliance with client policies, strategies, and procedures for the execution of the PMC contract across assigned Construction Areas or Contracts

Direct the technical and operational fulfilment of the PMC Contract, liaising with the client on matters related to Work Contracts within the assigned Construction Areas

Establish and maintain technical and administrative relationships with the client and contractors to resolve issues arising during execution of the PMC Contract

Coordinate and manage human and material resources required for the execution of the PMC Contract across assigned Construction Areas or Contracts

Coordinate the work of Contract & Change Engineers under your responsibility

Identify potential project risks early and develop mitigation strategies, reporting to the Contract Manager, Project Management, and relevant steering committees

Integrate and coordinate work plans across project management teams and PMC disciplines according to project requirements

Ensure deliverables produced by the PMC management team meet contract requirements, procedures, and quality standards

Issue and sign formal communications related to the execution and supervision of Work Contracts within assigned Processing Units

Participate actively in project and PMC contract review meetings and monitor the completion of assigned actions across departments and disciplines

Perform other duties related to the role as required by the Contract Manager or PMC Project Management
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

Minimum 12 years of experience in Contract Management within Oil & Gas, Engineering & Construction, Steel, Mining, and/or Infrastructure sectors

Experience managing EPC contracts and/or participating in teams delivering PMC or EPCM services

Strong business and financial management experience

Proven experience in risk identification and mitigation planning

Strong commercial awareness and contractual understanding

Experience working on technically complex, large-scale projects

Willingness to commute to Northern Sweden approximately three weeks per month

Experience using MS Office, Primavera, and/or Aconex

Fluent in English
