Assignment Type: Annually Renewable Contract
Residential / Rotation: 3 weeks on office/site, 1 week remote; 5 days per week

Job Brief

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract and Change Engineer to join our team on a Green Steel project in Northern Sweden. Reporting to the Contract Leader, you will manage all commercial and legal aspects of assigned contracts, collaborating with the client and cross-functional teams to address contractual issues including performance, obligations, risk, and mitigations. The ideal candidate combines engineering, business administration, and commercial law expertise, with the ability to operate under pressure in multicultural teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Contract Leader and project teams in planning, integration, coordination, and control of PMC-related activities for assigned contracts

  • Ensure compliance with client policies, strategies, and procedures for PMC contract execution

  • Identify potential project risks related to assigned contracts or suppliers and develop treatment plans, reporting to the Contract Leader

  • Ensure deliverables from the PMC management team meet contract requirements, quality standards, and procedures

  • Prepare formal communications for the supervision of work contracts within assigned Process Units

  • Attend project and PMC contract review meetings, monitoring completion of tasks assigned to departments and disciplines

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or Law

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in contract management within Oil & Gas, Engineering & Construction, Steel, Mining, or Infrastructure sectors

  • Experience managing EPC contracts and/or participating in PMC/EPCM teams

  • Strong commercial understanding with business and financial acumen

  • Experience in risk and mitigation planning for technically complex projects

  • Willingness to commute to northern Sweden for 3 weeks per month

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Primavera, and/or Aconex

  • Fluent in English
