JOB BRIEF
We're currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Engineer to join our team. In this role, reporting to a Contract Leader, you will be responsible for managing all the commercial and legal aspects of the contracts signed by our customer under your responsibility. You will collaborate with the client and cross-functional teams to address contractual issues (performance, infringement, rights and obligations, risk and mitigations, etc.). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering, business administration, and commercial law, with the capacity to work under pressure and in multicultural teams. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Contract Leader and Project counterparts in the planning, integration, coordination, and control of PMC-related activities for the assigned contracts and processes.
- Ensure compliance with Client policies, strategies, and procedures for the execution of the PMC contract in the assigned contracts.
- Identify potential risks to the Project related to the assigned contracts and/or suppliers early on and develop appropriate treatment plans, promptly reporting to the Contract Leader.
- Ensure that deliverables prepared by the PMC management team meet the requirements, quality standards, and procedures of the PMC contract for the supervision of the Work contracts of the assigned Process Units.
- Prepare formal communications related to the execution of the PMC contract for the supervision of the Work contracts of the Processing Units under your charge.
- Attend systematic project and PMC contract review meetings, monitoring the completion of tasks assigned to those responsible for each department and/or discipline.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Degree in Engineering, Business, or Law
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Contract Management in the Oil & Gas, Engineering and Construction, Steel, Mining, and/or Infrastructure sectors
- Experience managing EPC contracts and/or participating in teams that provided PMC or EPCM services
- Business and financial experience
- Risk and mitigation planning experience
- Strong commercial understanding
- Experience working on technically complex projects
- Willingness to commute to the north of Sweden 3 weeks per month
- Experience with MS Office, Primavera, and/or Aconex
- Fluent in English
