Job Title: Construction Supervisor - Mechanical

Location: Dukhan (Site-based), Qatar

Contract Duration: Until April 2030

Working Schedule: 6 days per week

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Construction Supervisor to oversee large-scale energy and infrastructure projects. This is a long-term, site-based role where you'll play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise construction and installation activities to ensure compliance with scope of work, engineering design, and QHSE standards.
  • Review and provide input on construction method statements, material submittals, and commissioning procedures.
  • Act as the performing authority for contractor Permit to Work activities.
  • Oversee site works for mechanical disciplines, ensuring safe execution in line with approved specifications.
  • Participate in constructability reviews as needed.
  • Review contractors' schedules, method statements, and job safety analyses.
  • Coordinate mobilisation of contractors, including site laydown areas and permit processes.
  • Inspect and test completed works; arrange pre-commissioning checks and initiate Mechanical Completion Certificates.
  • Monitor punch list completion and clearance.
  • Review and endorse red-marked and as-built drawings.
  • Participate in handover, acceptance, and commissioning activities.
  • Review and endorse construction dossiers for assigned projects.
  • Support workforce development by ensuring local nationals receive appropriate on-the-job training.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent diploma in a related discipline.
  • 10 to 15 years' experience in construction and installation for oil and gas projects, including extensive exposure to large-scale solar (photovoltaic) projects.
  • Proven experience working in live oil and gas plant environments.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, systems, processes, and standards.
  • Strong construction management skills, with effective communication and conflict resolution abilities.
