Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor for Electrical, Instrumentation, Fire & Gas (F&G), DCS, ESD, Telecom, and Telemetry works in offshore oil and gas projects. This role involves supervising contractor activities, monitoring construction quality, coordinating offshore logistics, and ensuring compliance with engineering, safety, and project standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience in EPIC projects, and the ability to lead multi-national contractor teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as company representative on offshore facilities and contractor marine spreads, overseeing project-related activities

  • Liaise with asset holders for site access and preparation for construction and hot works

  • Supervise EPIC contractors during the execution of Electrical, Instrumentation, F&G, DCS, ESD, and Telecom works in offshore fields

  • Review detailed design drawings, method statements, material inspection records, and construction plans

  • Perform material receipt inspections and raise reports for damaged or missing materials

  • Prepare and monitor work permits through electronic PTW systems, ensuring contractor compliance

  • Attend daily offshore meetings for work planning, progress reporting, and issue resolution

  • Coordinate offshore logistics for personnel and materials in line with the project schedule

  • Ensure construction activities comply with approved procedures, drawings, and contract specifications

  • Supervise and approve contractor E&I activities including cable pulling, termination, glanding, loop shooting, Meggering, cabinet installation, field instrument installation, and testing

  • Witness inspections, certify completion works, and sign inspection test records and quality control forms

  • Conduct punch list walkthroughs, raise items, and ensure closure in coordination with contractors and originators

  • Review and approve Mechanical Completion Certificates (MCC)

  • Maintain daily progress records, report anomalies or deviations, and recommend corrective actions

  • Review and submit daily and weekly progress reports to management, verifying contractor statements for accuracy

Requirements

  • Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND), or diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or related discipline from a recognised university
  • Extensive commissioning experience in oil and gas projects
  • 8–10 years’ experience in offshore electrical, instrumentation, and telecom construction and installation activities
  • Knowledge of construction techniques for brownfield sites and wellhead jackets
  • Experience supervising multi-national and multi-disciplinary contractor teams
  • Strong knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety, and environmental awareness
  • Skilled in reviewing method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules, and drawings
  • Ability to identify potential bottlenecks, suggest solutions, and communicate effectively
  • Computer literate with good reporting and documentation skills
