Job Title: Construction Supervisor - Civil

Location: Dukhan (Site-based), Qatar

Contract Duration: Until April 2030

Working Schedule: 6 days per week

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor with a strong background in civil and infrastructure works to join a long-term energy project. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on site-based challenges, enjoys working in diverse cultural environments, and can lead teams to deliver large-scale construction safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor all site activities, conduct inspections, and ensure work is carried out in line with approved risk assessments, method statements, permits, and instructions.
  • Identify and implement risk reduction measures across all phases of construction.
  • Review and check method statements, safety certifications, and other related documents submitted by contractors and consultants.
  • Take corrective action in cases of lapses or delays.
  • Supervise and coordinate contractors to achieve safety and quality goals, recommending solutions where necessary.
  • Attend progress meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors; analyse critical issues and propose timely resolutions.
  • Conduct field inspections, surveys, and provide technical advice.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental requirements.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and coordinate corrective measures.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to contractors and teams.
  • Act as the construction focal point, coordinating across disciplines and departments.
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, and verify contractors' progress claims.
  • Resolve routine site issues and escalate technical queries as needed.
  • Review and endorse construction dossiers for assigned projects.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • 10 to 15 years' experience in civil and infrastructure works on large-scale projects within the energy sector.
  • Strong background in onshore solar (photovoltaic) projects is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of local, national, and international codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with computers is an advantage.
  • Experience working with live oil and gas plant environments, including geotechnical and topographical surveys.
  • Strong supervisory, planning, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams and under challenging site conditions.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and environmental awareness.
