Job Title: Construction Supervisor - Civil
Location: Dukhan (Site-based), Qatar
Contract Duration: Until April 2030
Working Schedule: 6 days per week
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor with a strong background in civil and infrastructure works to join a long-term energy project. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor all site activities, conduct inspections, and ensure work is carried out in line with approved risk assessments, method statements, permits, and instructions.
- Identify and implement risk reduction measures across all phases of construction.
- Review and check method statements, safety certifications, and other related documents submitted by contractors and consultants.
- Take corrective action in cases of lapses or delays.
- Supervise and coordinate contractors to achieve safety and quality goals, recommending solutions where necessary.
- Attend progress meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors; analyse critical issues and propose timely resolutions.
- Conduct field inspections, surveys, and provide technical advice.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental requirements.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and coordinate corrective measures.
- Provide guidance and technical support to contractors and teams.
- Act as the construction focal point, coordinating across disciplines and departments.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, and verify contractors' progress claims.
- Resolve routine site issues and escalate technical queries as needed.
- Review and endorse construction dossiers for assigned projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent diploma in a relevant discipline.
- 10 to 15 years' experience in civil and infrastructure works on large-scale projects within the energy sector.
- Strong background in onshore solar (photovoltaic) projects is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of local, national, and international codes, standards, and specifications.
- Proficiency with computers is an advantage.
- Experience working with live oil and gas plant environments, including geotechnical and topographical surveys.
- Strong supervisory, planning, and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams and under challenging site conditions.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and environmental awareness.
