Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day
Overview:
A site-based Construction Planner is required to support a major industrial energy construction project in El Morell, Spain. This role will involve leading the development and maintenance of construction schedules in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, driving progress and identifying scheduling risks early. The ideal candidate will have strong Primavera P6 skills, solid on-site construction planning experience, and be fluent in both Spanish and English.
Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain detailed Level 3 EPC construction schedules

Use AWP methodology to align Engineering, Procurement, and Construction

Act as the sole Planner on site and engage directly with subcontractors

Validate and integrate subcontractor schedules into the master schedule

Perform progress measurement and earned value reporting

Monitor the critical path and conduct schedule risk analyses

Engage with Construction Manager and discipline Superintendents to ensure accuracy of planned activities

Lead schedule reviews, planning meetings, and updates to project stakeholders

Produce monthly progress status reports and ad-hoc planning updates

Provide data and reports for senior management review and decision-making

Identify, analyse, and mitigate scheduling issues or potential delays

Challenge schedule logic, task durations, and progress assumptions where necessary

Maintain schedules in Primavera P6
Requirements:

Strong background in construction planning for industrial or infrastructure projects

Hands-on experience with site-based planning roles (Spain experience preferred)

Understanding of brownfield construction and build sequences

Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 (Mandatory)

Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Deltek Acumen Risk (Desirable)

Fluent Spanish and strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

Proven ability to coordinate across engineering, procurement, and construction functions
