Job Title: Construction Lead – Preservation (Offshore Major Projects)

Position Summary
An opportunity is available for an experienced Construction Lead specialising in preservation activities to support a major offshore energy development. The role is responsible for overseeing preservation planning, execution, and surveillance across fabrication, storage, transportation, and installation phases for large-scale offshore facilities.
You will ensure that preservation standards are implemented effectively across contractor and subcontractor activities, supporting safe, high-quality, and schedule-driven project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Preservation Planning and Execution
- Oversee planning, preparation, and execution of preservation activities for offshore platform fabrication and associated yard operations
- Ensure implementation of approved preservation plans for equipment and materials during storage, transport, and installation
- Develop and implement preservation surveillance plans for procured equipment and materials
Construction and Fabrication Oversight
- Support execution of offshore topsides fabrication activities in alignment with safety, quality, and schedule objectives
- Review contractor progress reports and identify critical risks or deviations
- Participate in construction walkdowns to verify preservation compliance
Contractor and Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and operations stakeholders
- Ensure alignment between company and contractor teams to resolve technical and execution issues
- Support coordination across construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases
Quality, Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with project safety, health, environmental, and quality standards
- Participate in risk assessments, pre-job meetings, and technical coordination sessions
- Review deviations from construction standards and provide technical input
Continuous Improvement and Lessons Learned
- Capture and implement lessons learned from previous and ongoing projects
- Contribute to project REX (Return on Experience) initiatives
- Promote continuous improvement across construction and preservation activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related scientific discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in large-scale oil and gas construction projects
- Strong background in offshore or major fabrication yard environments
- Experience in preservation, construction execution, or completions
- Strong understanding of offshore facilities, fabrication processes, and project execution methods
- Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
