Job Title: Construction Lead – Coating & Insulation (Offshore Projects)

Position Summary
An opportunity is available for an experienced Construction Lead specialising in coating and insulation works to support a major offshore energy project. The role focuses on ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient execution of fabrication yard activities, from planning through to completion.
You will provide technical and supervisory support to contractors and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements, project standards, and offshore execution requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Execution – Coating & Insulation
- Oversee execution of coating and insulation works within offshore topsides fabrication scope
- Support EPC contractors in delivering safe, efficient, and compliant construction activities
- Ensure adherence to project objectives including safety, quality, and schedule
Technical and Constructability Support
- Review engineering deliverables to ensure constructability and compliance with project requirements
- Support resolution of technical issues through coordination with engineering and contractor teams
- Review and assess deviations from construction standards and provide technical input
Project Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor contractor progress and identify risks, deviations, or performance issues
- Prepare and review progress reports highlighting key concerns and corrective actions
- Ensure alignment of reporting across contractor and project teams
Stakeholder and Contractor Coordination
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and operations stakeholders
- Ensure effective coordination across coating and insulation activities
- Support smooth execution across construction, pre-commissioning, and completion phases
Safety, Quality and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards
- Participate in risk assessments, technical meetings, and project kick-off sessions
- Ensure adherence to applicable industry codes, standards, and project procedures
Continuous Improvement and Lessons Learned
- Contribute to project lessons learned and improvement initiatives
- Support implementation of best practices across construction activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in oil and gas construction projects
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in coating and insulation scopes
- Strong understanding of fabrication, construction execution, and completions
- Experience in offshore/onshore yard environments
- Knowledge of industry standards, HSE requirements, and execution methodologies
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
