Project Construction Engineer – 12-Month Contract
Location: Hampshire, UK
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 months (initial term, potential for extension)
Status: Contract, full-time

We are currently looking to speak with experienced construction engineering professionals to take on the role of Project Construction Engineer for a major energy and industrial development. The position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact decarbonisation and new energy projects, including hydrogen, LNG, carbon capture, and onshore refinery developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with construction sites and clients to develop required deliverables

  • Provide constructability input for feasibility studies, FEED, detailed design, and field execution

  • Lead constructability workshops, producing reports and recommendations

  • Develop and contribute to construction execution plans

  • Prepare construction sequences to support scheduling activities

  • Offer technical assistance to construction sites on an ad-hoc basis

  • Participate in site surveys and contribute construction input to reports

  • Assist with subcontractor prequalification, including site and shop visits

  • Contribute to direct and indirect construction cost estimating

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

  • Experience on construction projects in one or more of the following sectors:

    • Chemical

    • Power

    • Nuclear

    • Petrochemical

  • Proven background in delivering construction engineering deliverables across project phases
