Job Dimensions
Commissioning Responsibility
Overseeing the commissioning of systems and subsystems during preparation and execution phases for Inlet and Condensate facilities, ensuring they are handed over to Operations in good operating condition.
Coordination
Working closely with Engineering, Contracting, Procurement, Construction, and Operations to ensure progress and achievement of final RFSU (Ready for Start-Up) safely and on schedule.
Engineering Phase
Actively participating in the development of pre-commissioning and commissioning engineering deliverables and coordinating with all involved parties to prepare commissioning activities.
Site Supervision
Supervising commissioning activities on site and managing interfaces between contractors and vendors.
Safety and Schedule Coordination
Ensuring engineering and execution are carried out safely and on schedule through coordination with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and project departments.
Asset Characteristics
Inlet, Separation, MEG Regeneration, and Flare Facilities.
Supervision
No company personnel under direct supervision.
Activities
Contract Accomplishment
Ensuring contractors meet all contractual requirements related to commissioning and smooth handover of Site Utilities.
Preparation and Scheduling
Supervising preparation and scheduling of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities to achieve safe and on-schedule:
- Mechanical Completion (MC)
- Ready for Start-Up (RFSU)
- Ready for Loading (RFL)
Project Specification Compliance
Ensuring that all facilities are built fully in accordance with project specifications.
Coordination with Operations
Coordinating witnessing of commissioning activities with Operations personnel and completing remaining commissioning scope after hydrocarbon introduction under SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations).

Qualifications and Experience Required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Process Engineering or equivalent
- International-standard solid experience
- Knowledge of offsite facilities
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of broad experience in onshore and/or offshore projects
- Minimum 10 years in a supervisory role, supervising five or more individuals
- Minimum 10 years of documented experience in commissioning of process systems
- At least 5 years of commissioning experience in senior roles
Expected Skills (Condensed)
- Contractor Interface & Supervision: Expert in managing EPCC contractor commissioning teams, witnessing FATs/SATs, and coordinating vendor specialist mobilization for packaged equipment.
- Inlet & Separation Facilities: Expert knowledge in commissioning slug catchers, inlet separation trains, three-phase separators, sand handling systems, and produced water treatment interfaces.
- Flare System Technical Knowledge: Expert in flare header hydraulics, knock-out drum commissioning, flare tip light-up procedures, purge gas management, and pressure relief/blowdown system verification.
- MEG Regeneration: Expert in commissioning MEG reclamation and regeneration units, including reboiler circuits, reclaimer sequencing, and lean/rich MEG loop proving.
- HSE in Commissioning: Expert understanding of energized systems safety, LOTO procedures, hydrocarbon introduction risk assessments, and management of change during transition from construction to operations.
- RFSU / MC / RFL Methodology: Expert mastery of systematic completion processes, including punch-list control, system/subsystem turnover sequencing, and MC-RFSU-RFL milestone logic using OPERCOM or equivalent.
- Process Systems Commissioning: Expert in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of inlet gas separation, MEG regeneration, condensate handling, and flare systems, including inerting, purging, drying, leak testing, and hydrocarbon introduction.
- SIMOPS Management: Expert in coordinating commissioning activities alongside live construction, integrating PTW systems, hazard zoning, and simultaneous operations protocols.
- P&ID / Cause & Effect Verification: Expert in line-by-line P&ID walkdowns, validation of ESD and F&G cause-and-effect matrices, and loop checking of safety-critical instrumentation.
