Commissioning Engineer
Location: Linden, Hessen, Germany
Full-time (40 hours/week)
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare installation and commissioning documentation and project-specific materials according to project requirements
- Develop and implement installation and commissioning plans for new projects to ensure systems meet project specifications
- Perform installation and commissioning activities including system start-up, performance testing, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to identify and resolve issues
- Work closely with customers to meet requirements throughout installation and commissioning
- Provide technical support and expertise to project teams and customers
- Document all installation and commissioning activities including test results and issues
- Participate in training and development to stay current on commissioning techniques and technologies
- Complete internal competency assessments
- Create, track, update, and monitor activity plans
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning by reviewing certificates and punch lists
- Assist in planning and providing components, spare parts, tools, and other materials for commissioning
- Coordinate on-site work by supervisors, technicians, and contractors
- Contribute to preparation of commissioning dossiers
- Ensure compliance with safety goals, schedules, and quality standards
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 5-8 years relevant experience in commissioning and/or operation of process plants
- Experience in EPC projects in oil and gas, including contractor and supplier management
- Strong knowledge of regulations and standards for commissioning and testing in oil and gas
- Experience in multidisciplinary commissioning with strong technical skills
- Proven leadership to motivate teams to deliver high performance
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, OEM datasheets, and machine manuals
- Experience in functional testing of machinery and equipment
- Solid experience in commissioning and ramp-up of process plants
- Knowledge of hydrogen processes and safety is desirable
- Experience with ATEX equipment and qualification is a plus
- Knowledge of compressed gases, pressure systems, and pressure equipment directives advantageous
- Experience with MS Project or similar tools preferred

- High organizational skills and self-motivation
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
