Location: Qatar – Onshore (initially Doha-based, then site offices in Ras Laffan)
Contract Type: Secondment Contract
Contract Term: 36 months (Jan 2026 – 2029)
Schedule: 10 hours/day, 5 days/week (approx. 22 days/month)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil & Structural Engineering Lead to oversee design and engineering activities for a major onshore project. The role involves guiding contractors through FEED and EPC phases, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, and maintaining alignment with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead civil and structural engineering activities across all phases of FEED and EPC.

Ensure contractor deliverables meet project specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of design and execution work.

Provide civil and structural input to other disciplines including construction, procurement, commissioning, and quality.

Monitor discipline schedules, manage change processes, and maintain design integrity.

Resolve discipline-related issues and conduct risk-based evaluations of engineering challenges.

Lead interface coordination between internal project teams and third-party stakeholders.

Maintain a complete record of design revisions for contract administration and project continuity.

Promote safety leadership and compliance with HSE standards across all activities.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Minimum 8 years’ engineering experience, including at least 4 years in oil & gas projects.

Supervisory or contractor oversight experience.

Strong background in geotechnical engineering, foundation design, drainage, precast concrete, steel structures, building design, and dynamic equipment foundations.

Experience in brownfield projects and large tank foundation design.

Familiarity with berth design, seabed dredging, and blast design is an advantage.

Strong leadership, organisational, and coordination skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-relevant software.

Fluent in written and spoken English.
