Chief Production Operator
Location: Esbjerg, Denmark (Offshore)
Rotation: 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off
Contract Length: 1 year, renewable
Assignment Type: Offshore rotational
Visa: Must have legal authorisation to work in Denmark. No visa sponsorship.
A major offshore operation is seeking an experienced Chief Production Operator to oversee safe production operations and work permit coordination. The role involves daily management of simultaneous operations, permits, audits, site inspections, and coaching personnel on safety and work standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update electronic work control registers.

Manage permit approvals, ensuring risks and mitigations are identified.

Coordinate daily PTW meetings and toolbox talks.

Conduct site visits to ensure hazards are identified and controlled.

Monitor SIMOPS conflicts and maintain clear risk profiles.

Lead audits, assign auditors, and follow up on findings.

Provide coaching on work permit quality and safety standards.

Support preparation and execution of production and maintenance tasks.

Manage safe isolations and breaking of containment activities.

Verify gas-free and NORM-free conditions prior to work release.

Conduct operator rounds and ensure ongoing HSE compliance.

Maintain clear handovers with back-to-back colleagues.

Support the development of team competencies.
Requirements:

Qualified as Process Technician, skilled craftsman, or equivalent diploma.

5 to 10 years offshore experience.

Valid OPERCAP+ or equivalent.

Fluent English.

Strong HSE focus.

Able to coach personnel and manage multiple concurrent activities.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.
