INTRODUCTION
About the Role
We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to accelerate commercial expansion and support the Commercial Director. In this role, you will focus on developing a new market segment for advanced industrial materials across a range of B2B customers. Your mission will be to drive early commercial engagement, secure future offtake commitments ahead of plant commissioning, and directly contribute to commercial success. This position is based in Paris, with occasional travel within France and across Europe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Business Development
- Identify and qualify new prospects and business opportunities.
- Present solutions and value propositions; assess opportunities (volumes, timelines, requirements) and prepare tailored commercial offers aligned with market expectations.
- Manage negotiations for offers and contractual terms; prepare supporting materials for negotiation phases.
- Work closely with internal technical and commercial teams to gain a detailed understanding of product features and possible optimisations.
- Progressively take ownership of specific market segments and/or key customer accounts.

2. Strategic Marketing
- Analyse market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape to refine company positioning and value proposition.
- Contribute to medium-term commercial planning and strategic development.

3. Visibility & Commercial Support
- Support the preparation of commercial materials for investor relations, fundraising, and financing activities.
- Contribute to internal and external communications related to commercial priorities, achievements, and market insights.

PROFILE

Education
- Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in business development, sales, or strategic marketing in B2B industries, or relevant consulting experience.

Required Skills & Knowledge
- Fluent English (written and spoken) essential.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to co-create innovative solutions with clients.
- Ability to manage projects independently, meet deadlines, and deliver structured, data-driven analysis.
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on sales execution.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
