Job Title: Business Development Executive – Construction & Conservation

Job Summary:
An established specialty contractor is seeking a driven Business Development Executive to lead sales efforts across the Northeast region. The company delivers high-quality interior restoration, conservation, decoration, and design services for commercial, government, institutional, and cultural projects. This position suits an experienced sales professional with a strong understanding of construction and historic preservation, excellent client relationship skills, and proven ability to manage complex bids from concept to close.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s services and competitive advantages.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients to expand market presence.

Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.

Oversee all aspects of the bidding process, including research, analysis, and needs assessment.

Lead the full sales cycle from opportunity generation to project award.

Prepare estimates, perform project takeoffs, and evaluate financial indicators to ensure profitability.

Manage multiple proposals and responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs concurrently.

Ensure accurate and timely updates of sales activities and leads in the CRM system.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth project transitions and ongoing client satisfaction.

Provide regular updates to senior management on performance, market trends, and pipeline status.

Represent the company’s values, standards, and professional integrity in all external interactions.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, architecture, engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience; 10+ years of total professional experience preferred.

Demonstrated success in leading complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.

Established network within construction and design sectors, including developers, architects, and consultants.

Expertise in at least one construction or restoration specialty area.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.

Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

Ability to read and interpret construction documents and contracts.

Fluency in English required.
Additional Requirements:

Ability to travel frequently across the Northeast region.

Must be able to safely access and navigate active construction sites, following all OSHA safety and PPE requirements.
Work Environment:
This position involves both office-based and site-based work. Regular computer use and occasional physical activity, such as walking and bending on job sites, are expected.
