This role is perfect for an early-to-mid career engineer with a background in electrical or electronic engineering and hands-on experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support during the detailed engineering phase of solar and BESS projects.
- Ensure seamless integration of battery energy storage solutions into overall plant design.
- Review technical documentation from suppliers including drawings, manuals, and specifications.
- Support internal teams across development, tendering, execution, and operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of technical designs and project delivery.
- Collaborate on engineering deliverables related to planning approvals and grid connections.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
- Stay informed of industry developments, technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Support client-facing activities such as presentations and technical proposals.
- Provide site support when required during commissioning and construction phases.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status (e.g. RPEng) desirable but not essential.
- Minimum 2 years' professional experience in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of lithium-ion battery energy storage systems is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Intermediate level or higher).
- Willingness to travel for project execution and site visits.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure.
