This role is perfect for an early-to-mid career engineer with a background in electrical or electronic engineering and hands-on experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support during the detailed engineering phase of solar and BESS projects.
  • Ensure seamless integration of battery energy storage solutions into overall plant design.
  • Review technical documentation from suppliers including drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Support internal teams across development, tendering, execution, and operations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of technical designs and project delivery.
  • Collaborate on engineering deliverables related to planning approvals and grid connections.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
  • Stay informed of industry developments, technologies, and regulatory changes.
  • Support client-facing activities such as presentations and technical proposals.
  • Provide site support when required during commissioning and construction phases.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer status (e.g. RPEng) desirable but not essential.
  • Minimum 2 years' professional experience in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of lithium-ion battery energy storage systems is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Intermediate level or higher).
  • Willingness to travel for project execution and site visits.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure.
