Assistant Project Manager - Tertiary Crushing (Mining Project, China)

As the Assistant Project Manager - Tertiary Crushing, you will be at the heart of aligning tertiary crushing services agreements with the overall project delivery strategy for the Simandou iron ore development. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with world-class service providers, drive operational excellence, and contribute to the successful execution of a major infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Coordination - Assist the Tertiary Crushing Project Manager in leading the planning, execution, and delivery of crushing operations, ensuring all milestones, budgets, and timelines are met.
  • Stakeholder Management - Act as a central point of communication, working closely with service providers, contractors, and internal teams to align operations with contractual agreements and project requirements.
  • Risk Management & Compliance - Identify potential risks and proactively implement strategies to mitigate operational disruptions, ensuring strict compliance with service contracts and industry standards.
  • Operational Excellence - Oversee the Build, Own, Operate (BOO) tertiary crushing facilities, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to production goals.
  • Interface Coordination - Foster seamless collaboration between engineering, procurement, and operations teams, ensuring all project components integrate effectively within the larger mining operation.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Extensive experience in iron ore processing projects, particularly in tertiary crushing operations.
  • Strong background in project planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination within the mining or heavy industry sector.
  • Proven ability to drive efficiency improvements, manage complex contracts, and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to fast-paced project environments.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English is preferred, to liaise effectively with both local and international teams.
