About the Role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join the Treasury Governance team of a leading global energy operator. This is a high-impact, compliance-driven role based in France, offering exposure to large-scale international treasury operations and banking systems. The position is ideal for professionals with a background in finance or accounting who enjoy working in structured, risk-sensitive environments with a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update records for internal and external banking authorities

  • Assist in automating the update process using Power Automate or similar tools

  • Track and validate Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and Electronic Reconciliation Balances (ERBs)

  • Set up performance indicators to monitor validation processes

  • Check ERBs and ensure timely validations

  • Contribute to the development and regular updates of internal policies and procedures

  • Support internal audits and compliance checks to ensure alignment with governance rules

  • Respond to compliance-related requests from partner banks

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in finance, treasury, or banking functions

  • Familiarity with SAP and Office 365

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement

  • Professional working proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages a plus

  • Previous experience working in large or multinational organisations is beneficial
