An international energy organisation is seeking an experienced AI Azure Developer to deliver enterprise AI and cloud solutions.

The role focuses on scalable AI applications, enterprise integrations, and automation of business and IT processes.
Key Responsibilities
AI Solution Development
-
Build AI solutions using Azure AI services including prompt workflows, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), vector search, orchestration, and conversational interfaces.

Develop AI agents with custom actions and integrations.
Backend Development
-
Develop Azure-based services using Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, Event Grid, Service Bus, Key Vault, Managed Identity, and API Management.
Enterprise Integration
-
Design and implement integrations with enterprise IT and business platforms.

Develop custom connectors or adapters where required.
Automation
-
Implement automated workflows to support IT service processes, approvals, ticket lifecycles, and business operations.
Data and Knowledge Solutions
-
Develop RAG solutions using enterprise search services.

Design indexing pipelines, metadata structures, embeddings, and controls to ensure accurate and secure responses from internal knowledge sources.
Security and Governance
-
Apply enterprise security standards including role-based access, secret management, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
Operations
-
Implement monitoring, performance tracking, and cost optimisation.

Produce documentation, runbooks, and support processes for production environments.
Required Skills and Experience
-
Strong Azure development experience including Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, Event Grid, Key Vault, Managed Identity, and API Management

Experience with Azure AI services, OpenAI models, vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering

Experience building AI agents or workflows using Microsoft Copilot technologies

Strong understanding of RAG architecture and retrieval optimisation

Experience integrating enterprise platforms using APIs, middleware, or custom connectors

Proficiency in C# or Python and REST API development

Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub

Familiarity with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint integration, and data governance principles

Knowledge of ITSM processes such as incident, change, request, and knowledge management is beneficial
