Agile Coach

Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Agile Coach to support the transformation of ways of working within a large-scale, operationally critical environment. This role is focused on enabling teams and leadership to adopt Agile principles effectively, improving delivery flow, predictability, and business outcomes.
You will act as a trusted advisor to both squads and senior stakeholders, driving meaningful behavioural change and embedding outcome-focused delivery while maintaining high standards in safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach leadership teams on prioritisation, capacity planning, and delivery flow at portfolio level
- Translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable squad outcomes
- Enable squads to adopt Agile practices, improve sprint discipline, and enhance delivery performance
- Identify and remove delivery blockers through close collaboration with team leads and stakeholders
- Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Shift teams from task-based execution to outcome-driven delivery
- Mentor team leads to strengthen leadership capability and effectiveness
- Support alignment between backlog priorities and business objectives
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Contribute to the development of internal Agile capability and coaching standards
- Track and analyse delivery metrics such as cycle time, throughput, and predictability
- Support governance processes and ensure effective use of performance data
- Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment across operations, projects, and support functions
- Act as a change agent to support adoption of new ways of working across the organisation
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Agile delivery environments
- At least 3 years' experience in an Agile Coach role at team or enterprise level
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and navigating complex organisations
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments
- Strong problem-solving and systems thinking capabilities
- Comfortable working in ambiguous and evolving environments
- Experience within energy, industrial, or asset-intensive sectors is advantageous
- Relevant certifications in Agile or change management methodologies are preferred
