Job Title: Senior Material Planner
Location: Qatar (Onshore)

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Material Planner to support onshore maintenance operations within a large-scale energy facility. The role ensures timely material availability for both routine and critical maintenance, provides planning support, and contributes to the smooth transition of new assets into full operation.
Key Challenges

Managing material readiness to ensure plant reliability and uptime

Supporting the start-up of new facilities and ensuring lifecycle spares are available

Coordinating between project and operations teams to align material requirements during transition phases
Key Responsibilities
Reporting and Tracking
-
Develop and maintain reports on critical and urgent material requests

Facilitate stakeholder meetings for progress updates and issue resolution
Procurement Support

Liaise with procurement and engineering teams to resolve material requests

Support the purchase of emergency materials and capital spares for maintenance activities
Inventory and Master Data Management

Maintain and update Material Master Data and Bill of Materials based on maintenance input

Support warehouse operations, including material write-on/off, stock preservation, and documentation
Repair and Return Coordination

Manage technical clarifications, external and local repairs, and material returns
Project Material Readiness

Monitor readiness of project spares to ensure safe and efficient start-up

Act as a liaison between project and maintenance teams for material transition and handover
Qualifications and Experience

Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering or equivalent
-
Minimum 8 years of experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry, specialising in materials or maintenance planning

Strong understanding of spare parts management, procurement workflows, and maintenance support systems

Proficient in written and spoken English

High computer literacy and familiarity with industry-specific systems
