Role: QC Inspector - Production Manifold Services

MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS
The Service Provider will be providing QC services at Production manifolds worksite based in Aviles, Spain. He will be responsible to ensure that Contractor (CTR) supplies Production Manifolds and Foundations on-time as per TotalEnergies' HSE policies and with satisfactory & required level of quality.
ACTIVITIES
The Service Provider will liaise with CPY Subsea HSE Lead, CPY Quality Lead, CPY Materials &Welding Lead and CPY Delivery Lead.
HSE and Compliance: The Service holder shall:
- Fully comply with site security, health and safety instructions, stay vigilant and maintain continuous awareness of hazards and surroundings.
- Will be accountable for demonstrating, individually, an exemplary behaviour regarding H3SE rules & requirements, including trainings, and enforcing HSE execution decisions/directions taken by CPY Subsea HSE Lead.
- Report any issue/anomalies (using system in place in the facility) and to make use of TOTAL STOP WORK policy as necessary.
- Ensure that risk assessments are performed as and when necessary, that management of change is adhered to and that tool-box talks are conducted efficiently.
- Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour regarding Company Ethics and "Code of Conduct" policy and promote the re-enforcement of the Anti-Corruption Program.
WORK TASKS:
The Service holder will be responsible to control that the work performed by CTR and sub-CTR is in line with CPY and Project Specifications for Production Manifolds and Foundations in terms of Quality.
For all these tasks, the incumbent will be requested:
- To conduct thorough inspections of welds and welding processes to ensure compliance with applicable WPS/PQR, codes, standards, and specifications,
- have ability to conduct welding inspection before, during and after as per ISO 3834-2 requirements
- To have ability to conduct welding inspection before, during and after as per ISO 3834-2 requirements
- To have extensive inspection knowledge and experience (min 10 years) in CRA materials such as Super duplex (Pipe/Forging and HIPPED), Inconel 625 and LAS (F22) and
- To have excellent inspection experience in buttering, overlay and girth welding of Inconel 625 and Alloy 59 consumables
- To utilize advanced inspection techniques including visual, ultrasonic, Phase Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), magnetic particle, Liquid penetrant Inspection and radiographic testing to assess weld quality as per ASME/DNV code requirements
- To have ability to interpret welding procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR) to validate conformance at site during production
- To have the ability to perform inspection on incoming production materials against requirements and mill certificates
- To participate in root cause analysis for welding defects and development of corrective action plans in collaboration with project welding engineer and site production teams
- To identify and raise subsequent comments highlight deviations, unacceptable or unjustified quality issues related but not limited to Welding that could affect SPS equipment during fabrication, installation, and production at site
- To prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation for compliance on weekly basis
- To collaborate with Company Site Rep and CPY material engineer on any welding/NDT/material issues at site
- To stop the work in case of non-conformity and re-assess the situation before resuming
- To discuss with contractor/sub-contractors in case of issues/unconformity during the control program, to look for acceptable solutions in order not to penalize the delivery schedule but still fulfilling the quality standards set by the contract
- To ensure that unconformities are driven towards closure in a timely manner (i.e. without impacting the delivery schedule)
- To follow up site welding activities and provide feedback to project team
- To participate to COMPANY and contractor audits and follow up closure of identified issues
CONTEXT & ENVIRONNENT
The activity takes place in the context of the execution phase of a major project in Suriname. The Suriname GPI is a multidisciplinary team that coordinates the project managed by TotalEnergies on the Deep and Shallow Water discoveries of offshore Suriname Block 58.
The technical challenges the Project will face are the reservoir development and management, FPSO, and subsea production/injection system.
The Suriname Team will develop the Project with the objectives of maximizing economic results by optimizing the reserves, and the schedule, reducing the costs and the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission, while maintaining the technical quality of the installations, with high H3SE requirements and focus.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Previous experience with Production Manifolds and Subsea Structures
- 15+ years of experience in welding inspection, with a strong understanding of welding processes and techniques
- Certification as a Welding Inspector (CWI) from a recognized body. CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 or equivalent
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications: level 3 (UT & PAUT, RT, DPI)
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex quality issues
- Languages: Fluent in English (Spanish / French is a plus)
