I am currently looking to speak with an experienced Principle Pipeline Engineer to join a client based in Hampshire.
Salary £75,000 - £85,000 + Benefits
Hybrid: 12 days per month to work remotely + 1 day carry over to next month. As such typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.
Projects: Carbon Capture / Onshore / Offshore / Hydrogen / Renewables
Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering design for onshore and offshore rigid pipelines across all project phases, from Concept Selection to Execution.
- Lead design activities for both brownfield and greenfield projects, including carbon capture initiatives.
- Serve as Project Design Lead on large projects, managing discipline teams and ensuring pipeline work quality.
- Supervise and direct preparation of project deliverables, managing discipline resources and man-hours.
- Oversee pipeline activities, including specifications, routing studies, mechanical design, stress analysis, and various specialized analyses.
- Support CAD designers in executing layouts and project pipeline drawings.
- Prepare datasheets, technical requisitions, ITT documents, and conduct bid evaluations.
- Resolve discrepancies from original proposals by raising technical queries and identifying deviations from standards.
- Validate inspection and maintenance strategies and define emergency pipeline repair studies.
- Conduct site visits to manufacturers as required.
- Act as a technical specialist and liaise with other disciplines during project execution.
- Stay updated on pipeline design standards and HSEQ policies, reviewing and developing new procedures as necessary.
- Ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards are maintained.
- Travel for short-term visits to various operating sites and global offices.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in engineering
- Experience in various project phases, including Concept, Basic/FEED, and Detail Engineering, for both onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects.
