Role Purpose
To manage piping activities and prepare engineering deliverables for assigned projects, including potential short-term assignments to construction, commissioning, and offshore tasks, in line with technical requirements and timelines. This role requires minimal guidance and includes identifying and resolving recurring basic engineering issues.
Key Accountabilities

Understands the technical requirements of project specifications, standards, local regulatory and statutory requirements, classification requirements, and applicable industry codes and practices to perform piping activities and prepare deliverables for assigned projects.

Provides solutions to recurring or less complex technical and engineering challenges by analyzing available data and proposing appropriate actions or options.

Prepares piping design specifications, stress analysis specifications, pipe support specifications, and standard detail drawings.

Prepares bill of materials for piping bulk items (such as pipes, flanges, fittings), valves, piping specialty items, gaskets, stud bolts, nuts, and pipe support materials, and provides piping weight data for weight control reports.

Prepares data sheets for both process-critical and non-critical piping specialty items by obtaining the necessary process parameters for designing and manufacturing these items.

Coordinates with engineering contractors to implement flexibility analysis findings, ensuring appropriate selection of piping support types, loads on restraints, and any special support requirements.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Master of Engineering.

Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in piping engineering for FPSO or offshore processing facilities; minimum of 3 years for Master's degree holders.

Proficient in Navisworks and CAESAR-II.
