Job Title: Package Manager/ Expeditor

Client: Multi-national corporation which provides consulting, engineering, and architecture services Internationally

Assignment Type: Annually Renewable Contract

Location: Work from Home (Ad-Hoc travel may be needed to Sweden but not expected)

Kintec are currently partnered with a Multi-national corporation which provides consulting, engineering, and architecture services Internationally. Project; constructing a plant in Northern Sweden that will produce Green Steel – Green Steel production emits up to 95% less CO₂ compared conventional steel production.

THE PACKAGE MANAGERS HAVE THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES
 
1. Scope Definition & Documentation
  1. Review and understand the scope of work for the assigned package.
  2. Ensure all technical specifications, drawings and appendices are complete and aligned.
  3. Identify any missing documentation or clarifications needed from engineering or CLIENT
2. Contractual Alignment
  1. Verify that the scope matches the contract and appendices uploaded to Omega.
  2. Flag any discrepancies or risks related to scope, quantities or responsibilities.
3. Kick-Off Meeting (KOM) Preparation
  1. Prepare the  KOM agenda with package-specific topics.
  2. Prepare a presentation or summary of the package scope, timeline and key interfaces etc
  3. Identify critical milestones etc
4. Interface Coordination
  1. Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, HVAC, instrumentation, etc.) to identify overlaps or shared responsibilities if applicable
  2. Ensure routing and installation schedule are aligned across packages (especially for conduits and cables).
5. Procurement & Logistics Planning
  1. Confirm material lists and delivery schedules.
  2. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely ordering and delivery.
  3. Identify long lead items or potential supply chain risks.
6. Site Execution Planning
  1. Review site constraints, access and storage needs.
  2. Plan for winterisation measures if applicable (especially in Boden).
7. Quality & Safety
  1. Define quality control checkpoints and inspection requirements with the QA team
  2. Ensure safety measures by supplier where applicable
  3. Coordinate with HSE for risk assessments and method statements if needed
8. Reporting & Communication
  1. Receive the weekly and monthly reports in the templates sent by CIENT
  2. Maintain communication with Supplier and CLIENT
  3. Track and escalate issues as needed
  4. Keep the weekly manufacturing progress file updated and attend the biweekly meeting
REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering, Industrial Management, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline.
    • Additional project management or procurement certifications (e.g., PMP, CIPS) are an advantage.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Package Management, Expediting, Procurement, or Engineering Coordination role.
    • Must have hands-on experience in large-scale industrial, energy, or steel projects (EPC or EPCM environments preferred).
    • Proven track record of managing procurement or construction packages exceeding €1 million in value.
    • Strong familiarity with supplier management, document control, inspection coordination, and logistics processes.
    • Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Omega) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both suppliers and internal teams.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proactive problem-solving and risk management approach.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environment.
    • Fluency in English (written and spoken); Swedish or other European languages are an asset.
