Job Title: Offshore Marine Specialist
Role Overview:
The Offshore Marine Specialist is responsible for overseeing and coordinating Marine Offshore Transportation & Logistics operations, ensuring efficient and safe personnel and cargo movement while maintaining strict compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company procedures. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of offshore marine logistics to support operational efficiency in the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marine Logistics Operations:
- Supervise and coordinate marine logistics activities, including the transportation of personnel and cargo to offshore facilities.
- Ensure safe and efficient movement of marine vessels in compliance with international maritime laws and company policies.
- Monitor and optimize marine fleet utilization to enhance operational efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to maritime safety regulations, environmental policies, and quality standards.
- Implement and enforce safe work practices for marine operations, conducting regular risk assessments and audits.
- Support emergency response planning and execution for offshore marine operations.
- Operational Supervision & Coordination:
- Act as the primary interface between the company, vessel operators, and offshore teams to ensure seamless coordination of marine logistics.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in marine transport and logistics planning.
- Monitor offshore marine operations to identify and resolve any logistical challenges.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of marine operations, including vessel movements, personnel transfers, and cargo tracking.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and vessel owners to ensure smooth execution of offshore logistics activities.
- Provide guidance and support to offshore personnel regarding marine transport best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education & Certification:
- Formal qualifications in the Maritime industry and/or a Bachelor's degree (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of marine experience in the Oil & Gas industry or Marine Logistics Coordination, preferably within a personnel logistics role in the Marine Offshore industry.
- Extensive experience in a supervisory role, overseeing offshore marine operations.
Technical & Business Skills:
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration within a Project Management Team (PMT).
- Computer literacy, including regular use of professional office applications and some technical software related to marine logistics.
Working Schedule:
- Work hours per day: 12 hrs./day
- Work days per week: 7 days/week
- Work days per month: 28 days/month
