Duration: 6-12 Months

Rotation: 21x21 (21 days on, 21 days off)

Rate: $Negotiable

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Field Service Engineer (FSE) for an offshore project located in the Gulf of Mexico, near Altamira. The role will involve working on the commissioning and start-up of LM6000 Aero gas turbines and potentially include responsibilities related to centrifugal compressors and generator laser alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Commissioning and Start-up

      : Play an integral role in the successful commissioning and start-up of

LM6000 Aero gas turbines

      in a high-pressure, offshore environment.

Mechanical Support: Provide hands-on mechanical engineering support, ensuring that the gas turbines are installed and functioning according to the highest industry standards.

Offshore Operations: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and other offshore personnel, to ensure seamless operations.

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identify and rectify any mechanical issues or inefficiencies during commissioning and start-up phases.

Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to offshore safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company standards at all times.

Requirements:

      Mechanical Engineering Experience: Prior experience in commissioning, start-up, or maintenance of aero-derivative gas turbines (LM6000 preferred) is highly desirable.

Knowledge of centrifugal compressors and an ability to integrate this into broader operational tasks is a plus.

Familiarity with generator laser alignment techniques, tools, and procedures.

Previous offshore experience and the ability to adapt to the challenges of offshore work, including working in remote locations and within strict safety regulations.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

      Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical FSE in the energy or oil & gas sector.

Proven experience with gas turbines (experience with LM6000 turbines is advantageous).

Offshore certifications (such as BOSIET, HUET, and medical clearance) or willingness to obtain them before deployment.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
