Junior Buyer

Working Location: Doha, Qatar

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement of goods, materials, and services to ensure that operational needs are met, considering price, quality, on-time delivery, and continuity of supply.
- Process incoming customer requests (workflow transactions, purchase requisitions, email requests, etc.), ensuring agreed cycle time and quality standards while maintaining high customer/user satisfaction.
- Process purchase requisitions promptly and accurately to support business needs.
- Proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding quotations, product availability, and order status updates.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), collect, and organize supplier quotations.
- Evaluate and compare supplier quotations based on price, quality, and delivery terms, supporting the selection process.
- Assist in negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and support the onboarding process for new vendors.
- Address and resolve supplier-related issues, including delivery delays, shortages, and quality discrepancies.
- Monitor order status and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
- Support inventory planning activities to ensure material availability as required.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options.
- Track and report on supplier performance and delivery reliability.
- Assist in spend analysis and reporting activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and workflows.
- Maintain and update supplier master data to ensure that the database is accurate and up to date.
- Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance, escalate findings to relevant stakeholders, and address performance issues with suppliers as necessary.

Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience of SAP, Ariba, and procurement tools will be an advantage.
- Proficient Microsoft skills (Excel, Word processing, PowerPoint).
- Years of Experience: 4-7 years.
- Academic background: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in technical/commercial or other relevant education.
- Visa status: Transferable visa/NOC available.
- Available in Qatar.
- Maximum of 30 days notice period for joining.
