ICSS Project Engineer – Offshore Oil & Gas Project

Location: Esbjerg, Denmark | Residential Contract Role | Initial Contract Until December 2025 (Extension Expected)

About the Role

A leading global energy company is seeking an ICSS Project Engineer to support the delivery of a multidiscipline offshore project. This role will focus on coordinating Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) activities, mitigating risks, and ensuring seamless communication between stakeholders. The position requires offshore experience and hands-on involvement in project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Support the Installation Project Manager in overseeing ICSS-related activities, ensuring project milestones are met.
  • Risk Management: Define, plan, and execute ICSS projects while identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary interface for ICSS-related matters, collaborating with suppliers, internal teams, and customers.
  • Implementation & Execution: Ensure timely preparation and execution of all ICSS modifications offshore, aligning with project schedules and safety requirements.
  • Economic & Technical Decision Making: Assess project activities based on cost efficiency, lifetime value, and operational effectiveness.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all relevant industry and company standards, ensuring safe execution of ICSS projects.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience working with ICSS systems (ABB and/or Siemens preferred).
  • Strong background in ICSS project management within offshore oil & gas environments.
  • Ability to work independently within a broad framework while making high-level decisions.
  • Offshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET, H2S) – additional project-specific training provided.
