Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Client: Pioneering Green Steel Production Company
Assignment Type: Initial contract until 31 st December 2025 with potential to extend
Location: Either Stockholm OR Boden, Sweden OR Netherlands
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 hours per day
Kintec are currently partnered with a pioneering Green Steel Production Company who are constructing a plant in Northern Sweden that will produce Green Steel - Green Steel production emits up to 95% less CO ₂ compared conventional steel production.
The Electrical Engineer assists the Electrical Lead. You will be reviewing and
analyzing the electrical design work for the Hydrogen Plant (HMP) area in
Clients Boden Project. As part of the owners engineering team, together with the Electrical Lead you will be working on the engineering assurance within your discipline. Delivery of the work is through our EPCM and OEM partners and you ensure in coordination with the Electrical Lead that they get the information and feedback required to deliver the work in a safe, cost-effective, and schedule-effective way.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Clients Electrical engineering and design in the HMP area.
Coordinate engineering work to ensure compliance to codes standards, regulations, equipment specifications, and process equipment operating targets.
You will report to Electrical Lead of the Client - Hydrogen Plant area.
Assisting in advancing quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
Assist in the management of the work of our EPCM engineering partners for electrical engineering and design
To review, comment and verify design documentation received from EPCM, OEM, Technology Provider, Suppliers etc. it is a bonus if the candidate is well versed to work in Documentation Control System like ACC and Omega.
Coordination within electrical team and also inter/discipline team for any interfaces
EXPERIENCE
- Experienced in ensuring electrical design & engineering compliance with international, national, and Scandinavian standards. Skilled in reviewing and approving design and installation documents for power systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, cabling, motors, UPS, generators, and hazardous areas, including power system studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Harmonic Analysis, Protection Coordination, and Equipment Sizing).
Minimum 3 years working experience in major industrial capital projects in the areas of Electrical Design & Engineering, preferably in Steel Plant /Power Plant / Hydrogen / Oil & Gas Major Projects. The candidate should have proven hand on experience in reviewing the electrical design deliverables of major projects.
Sound knowledge of industrial scale electrical designing.
Experience in design, planning, execution, management & communication with all stakeholders in large successful capital projects.
Experience in coordinating with EPCM & OEM Electrical engineers and following, reviewing and commenting design deliverables and documents.
Must be knowledgeable about industry best practices and change management.
Recent experience coordinating engineering and construction activities in large capital projects will be an advantage
