Civil Superintendent – Major Industrial Project

Tarragona, Spain | 12-Month Residential Contract (Potential to Extend)

Are you an experienced Civil Superintendent ready to take on a critical role in a high-profile industrial project? Join a dynamic team overseeing a large-scale construction project, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency every step of the way.

Key Details:

Start Date: By 31st March 2025
Work Schedule: 5 days/week, 10 hours/day
Contract Type: Residential

Your Role & Responsibilities:

Site Leadership & Coordination – Direct and organize subcontractors to ensure efficient and high-quality execution of civil works.
Construction Oversight – Supervise site setup, piling, underground piping, electrical earthing, foundations, steel structures, buildings, paving, and landscaping.
Safety Champion – Foster a strong safety culture, ensuring all teams adhere to the highest HSE standards. Conduct weekly audits and enforce safety compliance.
Quality & Compliance – Oversee quality inspections, punch list work, and adherence to Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). Drive contractor compliance and performance.
Planning & Execution – Participate in constructability reviews, assist in front-end construction planning, and support simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) coordination.
Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, attend coordination meetings, and provide technical and supervisory support.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting – Track contractor progress, assess schedules, and provide detailed daily reports on site activities and commercial impacts.

What You’ll Need:

Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent construction qualification).
Proficiency in digital tools and construction management software.
️ 5+ years of experience in major capital projects within an EPC/EPCm environment.
Spanish-speaking with local industry knowledge (experience with Spanish contractors is a plus).
✅ 50-hour Health & Safety certification.
Strong ability to review method statements, risk assessments, and construction schedules.
