Position: Asset Integrity Engineer - Mechanical Focus
Reports to: Integrity Department Head
Location: Kuala Lumpur
Key Objectives:
This role involves providing practical and technical engineering support to maintain the integrity of operational facilities. You will assist in implementing a tailored Asset Integrity Management (AIM) system to identify, evaluate, and address risks, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
Additionally, you'll promote a safety-first mindset and contribute to budget management for operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) activities related to asset integrity.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure that integrity-related tasks are completed according to schedule.
- Coordinate with discipline engineers to assess and address anomalies, ensuring adherence to procedures.
- Carry out Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) assessments for specific equipment types.
- Assist with structural and asset life extension (ALE) evaluations.
- Provide technical advice to teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Develop scopes of work, inspection plans, and maintenance procedures as required.
- Analyze equipment condition data to assess fitness-for-service.
- Investigate incidents and root cause failures, especially relating to environmental releases.
- Explore cost-effective technologies related to asset integrity maintenance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Material Science).
- Experience in asset integrity management, including RBI, corrosion control, advanced inspection methods, and failure analysis.
- Offshore readiness for asset integrity work, with practical experience in the oil & gas sector.
- Proficiency with relevant engineering codes, standards, and certifications (e.g., ASME, API).
- Fluent in English, with strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Preferably a candidate with local experience.
